This newsletter talks about a brand new feature: Validation Rules
Validation rules allow you to further customize quoting experience for sales reps by taking one of the 3 possible actions:
1. Error -- Block rep from taking an action
2. Warning -- Warn the rep but still allow them to go ahead
3. Information -- Display an informational message
Potential Use Cases
Use Case 1: Your sales users have been over-discounting and you don't want reps to submit quotes with discount > 50%
Use Case 2: You have a product that is often sold as a multiyear contract or you want to encourage sales users to try and upsell to multiyear if possible
Use Case 3: You have 2 products in your product catalog that cannot be sold together.
